What this is
A simulation of a fake overseas job offer, used to teach people to spot recruitment into scam compounds and to measure which warning signs people notice. The company (Tervaxa Global Services), the job and the recruiter (Kak Mira) are fictional.
What we collect
Optional form answers (nickname, age range, state, education, languages, situation, gender, expected salary, passport status); your chat with the simulated recruiter; the steps you reached and how long you took to reply; survey answers; and an email for one follow-up only if you tick that box. On WhatsApp we keep a one-way scrambled code of your number, never the number itself.
What we never collect
Your name, IC or passport number, bank details, passwords or exact location. In the web chat and the upload page, any photo or file you pick stays on your phone and is never uploaded. On WhatsApp, a photo you send passes through Meta's servers; we never download or open it.
Who processes it
Our server. Anthropic and Google (USA), whose AI models write the recruiter's replies and your report card from the chat text. Meta (WhatsApp), if you chat there.
How long we keep it
If you don't agree to research use, your answers and chat are deleted within 24 hours (your report card needs them until then). With your agreement, we keep them until 31 May 2027, then delete them. We only ever publish totals and percentages. Anonymous counts (for example, how many people reached each step) are kept.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time, or withdraw consent before 29 Nov 2026, by emailing [email protected] with your session code (TX-1234). Withdrawing doesn't change totals already published.
Age
This experience is for people aged 18 and over. If we learn a participant is under 18, we delete their data.
